Facing my mortality. I can do the roof, my body just does not want to.

Ours is an 11/12 pitch so it is almost vertical. I can just see us sliding right off of that thing! It will be worth it to pay them...they know what they are doing and do a good job. It's going to be expensive but should be the last roof we have to put on this place in our lifetime.

I have been texting with him. I have a heating unit to put in his Garage/man cave.

Last time he was on was two weeks ago. Seems like he "liked" something of mine on Facebook about a week ago, but I haven't seen him since then.

I am planning for this one to be the last roof in my lifetime as well. Going for the 25 year materials and if I outlive that I will not even care.

The metal roof is supposed to be rated for 40 years. Insurance says they only cover it for replacement for 10 or 15 currently and that they won't replace it in the event of a storm unless it is ripped off or has holes punched through it. Our metal buildings have been through some good storms with no dents/holes/damage and the garage is 20 years old so we figure it should be safe to do the metal one and spend the $$$ for that versus shingles. Either way, the insurance only replaces it for the same time frame no matter what the shingles are rated for.
