To me, trolls know their opinions are wrong, they just like to argue.

This new crop seems different. Not sure they're trolling, I think a lot of them are legitimately crazy or just idiotic.

Seems like we go in phases....We will have a "High Troll" level for awhile...They will get banned or go away.

We then have a quiet period for awhile, then it all starts over again with a fresh crop...

Several of these guys seem a little smarter than previous ones. They seem to avoid the banhammer pretty well.

Internet machismo is rampant everywhere. Google just landed me in a thread on a random woodworking forum looking for info on glaze finishes... Half way down the page a troll war broke out over Minwax products.

This is just what happens when people who never meet or speak face to face need to feel important.
