    Any of you know how many rounds an average US cop has to shoot each year to be allowed to carry his gun?
    Not sure if there is a federal policy or if each department has its own. :dunno:

    Just wondering since I was reading about the French regulations that will now allow cops to be armed off duty.

    I believe the state requires an annual qualification. Department policy may require more than that, such as, qualification with any off duty carry weapon, or more frequent qualifications. Not really sure though.
