What is a good ground cover to use in an area underneath a bunch of trees??? Poison ivy seems to like it, but grass doesn't grow there worth a damn.....Level ground with a bunch of surface roots...

What about some hostas? If not, maybe some Bugle Weed/Ajuga. It does well in partial shade and spreads within a couple of years to cover a pretty good area. Flowers in the spring. If it spreads too far, you can mow it off in the areas where it isn't really wanted.

I think I am caught up on here now. I never even got my computer turned on this morning. My niece showed up an hour earlier than I expected to go shopping. Stupid time zones make me crazy. Got home from shopping and had 15 minutes to get back to town for the gardening club meeting and to plant flowers at the library. We got all of their plants in by 3 and then I had to get another errand done. BUSY DAY!!!
