What is a good ground cover to use in an area underneath a bunch of trees??? Poison ivy seems to like it, but grass doesn't grow there worth a damn.....Level ground with a bunch of surface roots...

    Pine trees?????

Pines drop sap that screws up the soil or so I am told. Nothing wanted to grow under our big pine out back.
After we dropped it grass is happy.
