    Gotta head outside for a bit and walk the lake. Checking to see how many fish we may have lost last winter...hope not many.

    Well, I counted at least 21 dead two of which were bass (one about a pound the other a lot smaller) the others were bluegill all within about 3 - 5 feet of shore. Fished out most and tossed them on the bank. That should make the feral cats, raccoons, and opossums happy for a couple of days. Maybe even a 'yote (I can only wish).


    Wetted a line and did get a few nibbles and bites but no catchy yet...I'm smiling. Maybe, just maybe the lake faired the freeze better then last year when we had a total kill.

    ...and hmmm, found a little brass to add to my collection to boot! Wonder how that got there?

    Glad things look good for the fish. As for the yotes...22-250 FTW!!
