    Just found out some old arrowheads I got from my uncle are really old. Some 4,000 and others 5 to 6,000 years old. Another couple are hopewell and 500-1500 years old
    amazing that we can dig up artifacts this old in America.

    That's really cool TT! The artifacts are amazing but I don't necessarily find their existence all that unbelievable. Our country may not be very old, but the land is just as old as any other with just as much history.

    I have a rock in my living room that they used for grinding corn on/in. I just thought it was a neat rock and had it in my flower bed and this guy we know who is into the reenactments and such told us to put that inside where the weather wouldn't destroy it. It had black stuff all over the top, and he said that was from when they burned something in it...I don't remember exactly what. It is a fairly good sized rock with the top all dished out. I have it setting by the woodstove up there.
