    That's not my understanding, I have to give a years notice if I'm going to log and they take it out. I can return it after this is done. Don't know how much ground you have but the tax advantages are huge and it keeps your ground agricultural, something Shibumi was talking about in a recent post.


    We have just over 90 acres. The taxes are most significant on the 43 that has the house on it. The rest probably totals a few hundred a year. We actually live in a county that is pretty cheap for taxes overall.
