I like FrankNstein's comment in the what are you doing on new years thread... "sitting under a bridge."
New years eve 2011 I was working for a security company as a alarm runner. We had a business alarm that I was responding to on 38th st near the fairgrounds. I didn't think I would make it out alive People firing guns into the air all around me... I just found a concrete bridge and parked for the better part of an hour. Called my boss and said "That alarm aint gettin no response from me."Yeah, but only til 12:00:30...I would give it another few minutes, if it were me.

Must be an Indy thing, never hear that around here...
We get a little bit up here. They do occasionally shoot at each other also.
How are Indy's murder stats compared to Chicago's this year? I remember someone saying ours was higher than Chitowns last year, but I don't know if that was true or not. After midnight murder stats go to 2015 instead of 2014...we really don't need any more in 2014...

Thanks Snap2014 Indianapolis murders hit 3rd highest rate on record | WISH-TV
"The rate has risen recently, as police investigate at least five separate homicides committed during the last week alone. That violent end to the year is likely to push Indianapolis’ ‘per capita’ murder rate higher than Chicago’s for the second straight year."
