And a couple chickens. I need to research which ones make the least noise. I can't remember now.

Smart bird!

That was Polly. The kids taught him to sit on their shoulders from the time he hatched. He didn't realize he was big and still was convinced he was a parrot. My poor goats all got harassed by him but he liked this one in particular.

I miss my goats. They are so smart and great company.

There are quiet ones? I had all heavy breeds of chickens and never found any that were quieter than the others. Some were less aggressive but all of the hens were pretty quiet. Just the roosters that would crow at all hours of the day and night. My son had a soft spot for the roosters and would name them all. Of course, that made it a sad day when I decided to eliminate any of them or sell them.

I unlock the gates at work every day at 0335. There's a rooster 2 blocks from the shop. This guy is messed up bad. He's crowing when I get there. I think the city lights mess with his head.

If it's in town, I'll bet the neighbors love that??
