    Hello mom45

    Howdy chez

    :wavey:

That would make my spidey senses go off.

Even in the country, we get things that do this to us! I carry more and more just working around the yard. We are pretty far off of the road so it is secluded. Hubby left one day to go to town. About three minutes after he left, I heard a truck coming up the drive. It didn't sound like his truck so I went around the garage to see a beat up old Dodge coming up with two freezers in the back. Rusty, nasty looking freezers. Guy stops the truck and jumped out saying he has meat to sell. I did just like Mrs. G. Pulled my shirt up a bit and put my hand next to my pistol and suggested he might want to get back in that truck and leave. He didn't catch on very quickly and started to again tell me he had meat to sell. His buddy in the truck said "Dude, get in the truck. She's got a gun." They left. I called the sheriff's department and reported it with a description of the truck and posted to facebook to let the neighbors know to watch for them. I also called the county to see if they had a permit for door-to-door sales. They had nobody selling meat on file. I thought it was very odd that they would see my husband leave and choose that time to come up to the house to sell something. They were obviously scoping things out.

Yes they were. ASShats come in all shapes and sizes. Our property's are well posted no trespass no soliciting in English and Spanish. We still get weirdo's knocking (on the wrong door) and they are met with a 260 Lb. redneck with a 1911 "IN" his hand. Some are actually dumb enough to say they are not trespassing merely selling a product. No idea of the concept of private property.
