heart disease runs on both sides of my family

my cholesterol levels have been high for years. I am currently on meds to keep it down

you sir, need to get that checked
We all die of cancer in my family. A quick fast heart attack would be a better outcome. Hopefully in my sleep, or at my MIL birthday party so I can ruin it for her!!

Yes, pain can be misplaced in weird ways. I knew a guy in HS that had two appendix scars. They went in to remove it and found out his intestines and who knows what else were backward, so they had to go in the other side. I get pleurisy like people get cold sores. I know it's not a heart attack, so I won't mention it, because you say "chest pain" and they'll abduct you and hook you up to the machines. Whatever you have needs to be looked at. I had a ganglion cyst once that was painless, then a couple of years later one in the same spot that was excruciating.

    I have it already, thanks

    not a cramp

would appendicitis be that high up?

Do you still have your gallbladder? You are describing exactly where it is and I used to get horrible pains there depending on what I ate before I had mine out. Certain foods can trigger attacks.

I'm not sure how urgent it is if it is the gallbladder. I had mine out because my liver enzymes were elevated for about two years and then after monitoring that, they decided to do an ultrasound. Tech said they saw stones. It was minimally invasive, and I was home by 1 p.m. the day of surgery. I was in the barn the next day milking the goats and doing chores with my kids helping me so I didn't have to lift anything. Went back to work on day 2.
