I try not to let the fanboys know this when I'm raising their blood pressure, but I've owned a couple. The 23 was an absolute POS, but my 19 was a great gun. More importantly, it was a great carry gun. The size and weight are perfect.

I'm trying to build an SHTF arsenal. The Glock is legendary for it's ability to tolerate neglect and abuse, and keep working. If cleaning supplies run out, or I'm unable to use them as much as I should, I'm comfortable the Glock can tolerate it and still function quite well. No matter the weather conditions, it'll work. It's easy to work on, easy to stockpile parts for, easy to find goodies for quite cheaply. I can find accessories everywhere. I'm considering trying for a reserve police officer position, and I think it would benefit me to be carrying something at least similar to what they are carrying.

I dearly love my P95, and I doubt I'd like a Glock quite as much, but I'd like it just fine, and the Ruger doesn't offer many of the above advantages, aside from sheer toughness and reliability. I'm not at all certain how it would stand up to abuse and neglect, and don't propose to find out with my carry gun! So, sooner or later, I reckon I'll get a Glock.

But I'll post reviews saying it sucks, just to see how many coronaries I can cause :D

    I still passed out. :faint:

But, I agree the 19 is the perfect size. I love mine.

    Wait, crap... :faint:

I passed out again. But I came to and gave you a badge for drinking the Glock kool aid!

If I would of been using my glock I could of been quicker off the draw on some of those drills, rather than flicking the safety off my 1911...
I had no problems with my XD.
I did on the last shoot.
It had less than 150 rounds through it and I sissy fisted it a few times.
I think putting some more rounds through it helped.

    I still want a M&P.
I want sclark to pick out a pistol as well.
