Back up everything you want to keep to a stick drive, My wife's was doing the same thing last month and the hard drive crashed!!! we now have a back up drive on her computer and it backs up the whole drive everyday!

yeah, its usually a bearing. Either a fan or a drive. Sometimes the fans are just dirty with dust, other times they are just telling you they're about to die.

Then you can take it out back and put it down
