I would but I was 8 credits shy of a degree in computer science and left to become a paramedic (and hopefully a fireman) and my GPA was so screwed at that school that I would have to take 3 years of classes to fix it to get into the program. Im going on 27 and have spent 10 years at this restaurant so Im ready to get a big boy job.

It really isn't as intresting as the TV makes it out to be. Alot of transporting dialysis patients from what I can tell. Unless you are going to paramedic school. Which looks kick ass.

Depends on where you live and work. In our rural area we don't have that many transfers like that. Just "emergencies"

You could always go to nursing school...........................They make more.

Those are usually only City departments with Irish and German types.
Now the "goatee" is the cool facial hair for firemen.

I was older than that when I started nursing school. It can be done.


Truth be told, I wanted to be a paramedic, but I get car sick.
So now I do the same thing and get paid double. Who knew....

Ive never understood why firemen are always so out of shape? I mean if I didnt have any runs I would be working out. They always beat the cops at guns and hoses cause they have more down time to train but they are always chubbier

They are just "thick". Muscle.


Although I was just fat and out of shape....but I was on a Volly department, so I don't think that counts.
