I don't understand the 2 hour early thing.. why why why

you can't board for at least an hour or more yet

My son had To be at work by 4 and didn't have any one else that could drop me off , so I really have been here since 3:30, then couldn't get threw security till 4:15,, then took 1/2 hour to find a electrical outlet. Hence the statement having the time of my life.
