There seem to be tulips, daffodils and crocus popping up all over the place so need to get the leaves off of the beds. Most of the biggest beds are already cleaned up but there is still a lot to do. I need to put out more corn and fill the bird feeders again. We had 17 turkeys in the back yard last night when we were eating dinner. That is the most I have seen in a long time. It was nice to see them enjoying the corn and getting a drink from the bucket I have out there.

I see a few crocus starting to flower and one or two hyacinth getting ready.

I guess I better go make that potato salad and get something done.

I always get a patch of daffodils in the front yard that come up but do not bloom. They get buds that never open. :dunno:
We have a bunch like that in the back, just lots of green with no flowers. I remember reading somewhere that it is some bug or disease.

Or the bulbs are too deep. If you dig them up, I bet they are deeper than 3 to 4 inches. I had a bunch like that. Joan told me to dig them up and split them/move them. Now, they bloom again. Over time, they go deeper and stop blooming.

I put a big swiss steak in the crockpot yesterday since I wasn't sure what time we would get home. So soup tonight. I forgot to get more barley at the grocery though.
