Turbos for the win! Nice little rumble, pretty quiet on the highway. Overdrive trans would help tremendously. I would definitely run it all the way out back. Trust me, I just made that drive. :):

I've run the actual corvair turbo mufflers on quite a few cars and loved them. I just wonder how they'd do behind my mild(ish) 390??

Mufflers...it can be difficult to find what sounds good for a street machine. My brother had flowmasters 40s on a 351w and it had a mild mannered sound when cruising but had some rumbly throaty tone when you put your foot down. For the money I think classic turbo mufflers are about as good as anything on the street.
Our mufflers are pretty much just mufflers in an academic sense. Only 2 sets of headers around here one set is 4.5" in 5"out, other set is 5 in 5 out and only about the size of a coffee can

Not sure what a "redue title" is but not bad for the coin. May have been sitting behind a barn in a southern state judging by the surface rust, if the floor boards are solid and there aren't any title issues it's priced too low for todays market.

I would not trust the engine beyond hanging it/dismantling it/rebuilding it but I am not a trusting person. Especially for a basket case.

But, that said, I want it.....
