No, but there is one going on at that same time near the Ducktail Run. I don't even go to the James Dean thing anymore... IMHO, the Ducktail show is better, but I only go for the swap anyway...

We used to roll up to James Dean on the bikes just for a day trip. It fell off badly when the town started pushing for more revenue.

Passed a 64 Impala on the side of the road for sale yesterday. Was headed to dinner with a buddy I hadn't seen in awhile, didn't have time to stop. Looked pretty rough and didn't look like it had an engine in it. Thought of you though. :)

I am really focusing on this one. I am not getting any younger.

Had a bunch to do today but did get the 2" drop front coil springs swapped out for stock length Moog springs. The truck now seems to be level. Next is getting the cobbled up steering problem fixed that Bell Tire messed up.
The exhaust is in need of getting tied into the collectors properly.

Lots to do but not much time to do it.

I finally pulled the trigger and picked this up, its a 2012 GT that has everything but navigation. I don't care if I would get lost driving this anyway. Time to find a winter car now.

Made progress on the Olds 355 (+ .030) today. The ARP head bolts and the 8.600 length push rods arrived.
The 1.6 rockers required longer P-rods. Stock is 8.244"

It's looking good CM. I am hoping to find time in the next week or so to put my valve train back together, change the oil (Royal Purple), fill the cooling system with distilled water, toss some old plugs in it and tick off some neighbors. Time to start :spend: I'm ready to go get a little bit rowdy

I need to find a good cam break in oil. I have used shell rotella in the past as it did contain the Zink additive that was removed from most oils to keep the catalitycs alive.
Is Royal purple a good one.
