We have a full trunk floor for it and foot wells for the front. Ordered a few more bits and pieces today.

Your guy’s gonna have more money in that thing then was spent on my Mustang, and that’s a really high bar let me tell ya....We ended up smoke wrenching 5 of the mounts.

This guy has spent enough money on this car over the years to own 3 fully restored ones.Your guy’s gonna have more money in that thing then was spent on my Mustang, and that’s a really high bar let me tell ya....
SheeshThis guy has spent enough money on this car over the years to own 3 fully restored ones.
He owned it maybe 20 years. Paid to have it restored and you can see how they did the work. It looked slick.Sheesh
In truth it was to get the roof line and seating position down. Lower. Which it did. But as the Horse Power increased the ability of that design to contain it shoed that something new was needed hence the 1965 Chevy perimeter frame.I wonder what the engineers were thinking when they came up with the X-frame design. Just seems really inconvenient for things like driveshaft and exhaust.
Wouldn't it be easier just to take 4" off one side and save a lot of work?So with the rear end out on the floor I can get the dimensions from it so the 12 bolt I have for this car can be set up to hang in its place.
The 12 B is out of a truck so I figure it could be a bit to long and sure enough I have to take 2"s off each side for it to fit. New control arm mounts and a set of custom axles.

Now thats out of the box thinking right there.....Wouldn't it be easier just to take 4" off one side and save a lot of work?

Yes, that was purple. Now thats out of the box thinking right there.....
No. The pinion location is critical and needs to be centered.
I didn't realize he was still going about 200mph when he went airborne and into the drink. I still occasionally doodle a LSR in AutoCAD. Anyone got a J79 they want to get rid of?Craig Breedlove. The Spirit of America.

I just completed my doodles and drawings of what I need to come up with materials and supply's wise.Yes, that was purple.
Man you are in deep on this one. It's going to be interesting watching the progress on this one.
I want to see what's up with the race car....Received the CORRECT subframes yesterday so started dummying them up in the car tonight.
I decided to upgrade the cradle bushings and bolts for the IRS I'm putting in the car and naturally they're both back ordered. Guess that'll give me an opportunity to do the front brake upgrade while I'm waiting on those parts to arrive. Man it feels good to get back out in the shop and work on the toys!
