Agree.... with the caveat that I'd be more inclined to buy a lightly used roller cam.
Found a good deal on a set of these rockers. GM performance says they’re like the ‘96 LT4 rockers but are machined to fit 3/8” studs.

Any thoughts on using self-aligning rockers with guides plates? I would think as long as there’s no interference or binding problems you’d be good to go.
