So, if I come across a name I can't pronounce, and I am for whatever reason unable to ask the person how [insert [STRIKE]appropriate pronoun[/STRIKE] WTF] name should be pronounced, is it a microaggression to just refer to the person as whatever-the-****-your-name-is? Or is that a macroaggression?

Bahahaha! Where do I sigh up? No one has pronounced my last name correctly for as long as I can remember. Heck, my own family uses 3 different pronunciations. I just micro-aggressed myself thinking about it.
QFT! All through school and to this day 5% get it right the first time.
I'd have guessed, "də-REK-tōr".... No offense is meant if that's incorrect.

In my 36 years I've met a total of one person who pronounced my last name correctly after seeing it for the first time. One.
OMG. I had to stop it at the one minute mark. I especially loved the little snowflakes who snapped their fingers instead of clapping. I feel like I'm watching 10 year old aliens.

However, he added that he does have a problem when the university institutionalizes the use of pronouns that are completely arbitrary and may possibly sanction people for referring to someone different than their preference.

Had a kid in highschool list "Sir" as a prefix on his ID Card App. Kinda funny that it was "Sir Kevin _______". No follow through by the administration that he was not in fact knighted.
