I figured it would take at least a few more years before these kind of arrests would start in the US.I'm more amazed/horrified that people are so blatant about it now.

I have a law school buddy who was at least as conservative as I was back then. We had essentially the same moral, social and political views. After graduation, he moved to Portland (he had family out there, but was not from there). He's now a big Bernie supporter...all the way.
