Great...Jarrell gets to have his candy bar. The rest of us still have old knees and dead friends. I'm pretty sure this thread is the definition of hell.

I am gonna try that candy bar though.

I miss respect. People used to have respect for their elders, for the police, for their teachers, for each other. Seems now the most don't have any respect for themselves let alone someone else.

I miss playing N64 with friends, no online needed then.
I miss the days when most things weren't made in China.
I miss wrestling from the 90's.
I miss family reunions, we quit doing them in 97 after my uncle passed and things haven't been the same since.

I miss when CNN was a news station, not a political opinion station.
And I miss Headline News, where you could watch for thirty minutes any time of the day and get the major news and sports stories and a weather update. I don't think they even have 30 seconds of news anymore!

    - being able to take off on my 10-speed any go anywhere I wanted, as long as I was back by dark
    - going camping with my girlfriend (now wife) at the drop of a hat
    - keeping fishing pole in the truck, and stopping whenever/wherever I wanted to get the line wet
    - kicking back at a friends house after school on Friday and not coming home until Sunday night after Youth Group. And no one cared.

Basically, having a great amount of freedom and very few responsibilities. While I miss it, I don't want it back. I'd have to give up all I have now.

I have been trying to put a list together but it is way to long.

I was thinking the same thing until I realized it all boiled down to one thing: innocence. Not the naughty kind but the "I haven't done that yet" part where everything is new and bright and shiny. there are material things of course, but the rest boils down to this. I miss being young and naive and thinking I could change the world.

EDIT: I also miss $70 for 1000 rds of 7.62x39 Wolf and $279 AK's with canted sites and $10 30rd AK mags
