The reason why, is because the sonar dome is in the front of modern attack submarines. It works better because it's not surrounded by noisy machinery.

But still, the torps are usually in ops compartment. So it is still not behind the "trigger".

This is a boomer. Torpedoes in the front analogous to having a M203 attached to the fore end. So it is a bullpup with a grenade launcher.
