Believe it or not, there was an actual bat bomb developed in WWII. It would open and incendiary bats would fly out and roost/perch/hang under the eaves of buildings. After 15 or so minutes, the devices the bats were carrying would ignite, and burn the building down. they were tested and approved, but before they were used in combat (Intended for Japan) along came the Atom Bomb.
