I've lived in North and South Carolina, Texas, and Missippi. Visited every state in the South, except Louisiana. Never heard anyone say "thar". Maybe it's a Cajun thing. But. They do say things like everhow, instead of however.

Understandable question, but I believe so. Did you see what it (a) did to the small tree in front of him, (b) the reaction of the tree to the left of him and (c) the minor shrapnel around him? All of that would be very hard to photoshop.

so how did the little tree completely stop reverberating after getting nearly bent over 90%

Typically spelled “youins” is more common in Southeast United States. I rarely heard it in Missippi, but I’ve heard it all the time in the region around Appalachian Mountains. Fixin’ is unerversual southern. I picked it up and I still say it.

I watched the movie K-19 last night and then looked up the actual history of that sub. Yumpin’ yiminy, about the only thing that didn't happen to it was someone leaving a hatch open.

The Russians rushed their nukes into production.
    Quality Control "may" have suffered.

Subs operate with VERY little safety margin on most things.
Nuke shouldn't be one of them.
