I'll tell my mom I was in the hospital for 6 days, 3 of them in intensive care, and she'll ask about the underwear.



Well, I was bleeding from the behind.
How do you think my underwear was?

There was a great quote in a movie (I forget the title) from a cantankerous old Swede about Audis (which he obviously did not like):

That's awesome, I'll have to try it. I also use the excuse that I'm going through a bankruptcy. Telemarketers can't get you off the phone quick enough after you say that...

Doesn’t work with robo-calls, which >90% of the calls I get are. It’s better not to answer the phone. Many of those calls are just to establish that the number is active. Lists with verified phone numbers are worth more.

You answer the phone, say hello, no one replies then ends the call. You’ve just been verified. Soon you’ll be receiving more robocqlls. Maybe even a live one or two. Don’t call lists don’t work because just about all of these calls originate from VoIP anymore. They can be from across town or from the other side of the world. They can easily spoof the caller ID so that it looks like a call from Bangledesh is from your town.

Best thing to do, if it’s not a call you’re expecting, don’t answer. Just end the call before voicemail gets it.

My problem is that I get legitimate calls from unknown numbers. I have to answer all of them... so I am on the list of lists. My best to date is seven calls in one day that were all robos.

Don't want to try and block the numbers because they are spoofing them and the real person could try and contact me sometime.

Really a pain
