I remember what pr +1:6 does. I don't recall seeing the "#" syntax.
Maybe I'm misremembering it. On an Apple ][, PR(#)1 was the command to output to the printer (PRinted circuit board #6) and PR(#)1 brought the output back to the screen, as I recall.
Ahh, I see. I'm not creative so I never had an Apple. The *nix command "pr" is used to to paginate files before printing them.
