    There are picks of my old Toyo Forerunner somewhere on this board. The control board went out for the BACK window, and the tailgate dropped down like a pickup..so you _had_ to be able to open window to open the tailgate.
    I took the door skin off and disconnected the motor drive that connected to the scissor-lift. I was able to turn the lift up and down with a socket on a ratchet.
    Redneck engineering mind kicked in!
    So I welded a socket to a 36" bar and chucked it in my 9.6v Makita drill. (which then rested directly against the 2nd row seat).
    To open the window, pull the trigger forward. Pop it in reverse to lower.
    It worked and had the added bonus of proving my level of Redneck know-how (measured in duct tape).

    This pic brought back the memories!
