Music is subjective, talent is subjective. I would much rather listen to Lil Wayne than listen to country music where someone is talking about drinking/wife leaving/dog dying/etc.

I'd prefer music that doesn't objectify women, glorify violence, and degrade people that don't have 7 figures in the bank. But I don't like country either.

Yeah, i don't like the way country seems to condone violence and vandalism these days either...louisville slugger to both headlights...carved my name into his leather seats.....yet no warnings of explicit content or bleeping on the radio...If those lines came from the mouth of a man would things be the same? I hate trashville, TN...Real country comes from Texas and Oklahoma these days. Pauline Reese, Rachel Stacy, Paula Nelson, Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed, etc...

And that's your opinion. I remember that a lot of the founders of country came from The Grand Ole Opry, which is in the heart of Tennessee, though.
