General consensus says that Buttigeig doesn't stand a snowballs chance in South Carolina.
Zero African-American support. That's going to make any win rather challenging.

Biden is in South Carolina and ready...

Which one of these people is going to be the easiest for Trump to beat? I think that's the most important question in all this. That's who we want to win.

How would you feel if there was a massive, nationwide effort to primary someone against Trump? Some milquetoast nobody that the Democrats crossed over to make the nominee instead of Trump?

    Still not a big deal?

Or. Say you live in a red state. Oh, Idunno, maybe Indiana, and you had this really old, really RINO senator who’d been in the Senate, beating every Dumbocrap candidate for like 300 years, and you really wanted to get rid of him, because his voting record was so RINO. A disgrace. His name was Dick Milquelugar. So moderate he was practically a commie. You wanted to get rid of him for many decades and get a real conservative in there.

So one year this real conservative guy ran in the primary. He’s like the real deal. His name, Moredick. So conservative, he doesn’t give a **** if it’s rape, or whatever, that ***** is havin’ the kid because...well...you know. Now that’s a pretty radical view, especially for the chamber-o-commerce Fudd Republicans (CocFudds) in the state. And the dumbocraps know it. So they run this red dog dumbocrap guy named Dumbolly, and sprayed “conservative” cologne on him so that he smelled conservative. In reality, he was actually a commie union ho.

So then comes the primary election. The conservatives are happy they now have a real conservative to vote for. The Dumbocraps have something up their sleeves tho. See Indiana is one of those “open primary” states, which means, a Democrat could cross over and vote for a Republican in a primary, as long as they pinky-swear that they’re not just trying to hand the Rubes a dude candidate for the general election.

So the Dumbocraps start thinking, hey, we cant beat Milqueluger with a Dumbocrapic candidate but maybe we could beat Milquelugar with a Moredick. So they bussed in a herd of union thugs and the usual dead people to vote for Moredick over Milquelugar, and pinkie swear that they really wanted Moredick.

This worked. Moredick soundly defeated Milquelugar in the primary. The conservatives thought they could finally get a real conservative in the Senate.

So in the debates for the general election they had their practically commie moderator ask Moredick a gotcha question: What about if it’s rape? And of course Moredick answers the question as idiotically as a politician could. He told the truth about what he believed. The CoCFudds all gasp. The Dumbocraps go all ape****. The conservatives cheer. Yay! He’s our guy. Makes national news. Press shames Mordick.

November rolls around. Moredick is defeated by Dumbolly. Dumbocraps cheer. CoCFudds are relieved the radical didn’t win. Conservatives blamed the 3rd party guy, because the radical conservative guy whom the CoCFudds didn’t like couldn’t possibly have lost the election because he answered that question stupidly.

Now conservatives embrace the strategy because principles are stupid.

If it is a problem, then the primaries should be closed. Otherwise, the evidence is that the parties aren't terribly concerned.
People think it’s not fair that you have to declare a party to vote, that it disenfranchises people who vote independently of party. But primaries are for Parties to select the candidates who they want to represent the party in the general election. It’s not for the general public to choose who the choices will be.

If people don’t like that, they’ll need to fight for a different voting system. It’s worse to have open primaries because they can be manipulated. But even closed primaries can be manipulated. I saw a commercial from Democrats a few years ago where they offered to provide financial support to the TEA Party to put up a primary candidate against Mitch McConnell. Didn’t work. Mitch won the primary easily. But they tried.

At 46% precincts reporting in here is where we stand:

    Sanders 26.7%
    Buttigieg 23.7%
    Klobuchar 20%
    Warren 9.5%
    Biden 8.3%

    And the rest...

Several of the polls showed Bernie way ahead in New Hampshire. It looks like Sanders may well win but it will be by a much narrower victory than anticipated.

From my perspective it may well be that Buttigieg has a shot IF this pattern continues. Still too early to see what Bloomberg's money will do, if anything.

    We shall see....

    Regards,

    Doug
Pretty obvious that Klobuchar’s votes are coming from Biden. He’s so ****ing senile that people can’t see him as president. They’re trying to find a sane candidate. Klobuchar acts moderate, while trying to walk the line between bat**** crazy and not.

While this seems to be mostly true, I do not recall dem crossover being a big part of Moredick winning a primary.

Indiana political analyst Brian Howey ascribed Mourdock's primary win to Republican voters' belief that Lugar was too old and that he had been in Congress too long. Howey also said that "Just 15% ... voted for Mourdock because of his Tea Party ideology."[SUP][38][/SUP]

In round numbers about 900K votes were cast in the primary vs 2.5 million in the election does not seem to bolster the crossover point.

Moredick was a Moredick candidate with a history of losing races he was not riding coat tails.

Tucker Carlson had some strong take, saying the MSM still did not understand how they influenced Trump being elected, and now we're doing it again, pushing people to Bernie while thinking they are knocking him down...

Who are moderate Democrats going to settle on to try and take out the radical front runners? Klobuchar has gained some momentum but I don’t think she can win the race.

Will it be Doomberg? Or maybe will they have to back Butgig in the end as the less radical sounding choice to take out Burnie?

The moderates are surely faced with a conundrum if they have hopes of saving their party from the radical likes of Sanders.
