Don't you have enough 1911's complete to justify putting the 97 as a priority?

And didn't you tell me that you disliked shooting 9mm because "it's like pew pew pew" and doesn't do anything for you? I feel like that's the same feeling I get shooting 5.56 AR's. Finishing AR's shouldn't be your priority.

There.....fixed your priorities for you :koolaid:

Nope. It is in the rotation on my bench. Along with a P0-7. I have almost caught up on 1911/AR projects.....almost. Then CZ's

I like to finish existing projects and clear the bench.
AR's (except 1) are for friends. All but 1 is done. Waiting on Hydro-dip.
    (1) 1911 is a friends. Parts for it and 1 of mine will be here soon.

I have some 9mm Self Defense ammo that barks hard.......:)

I am re-evaluating everything right now.

What are you doing for the hydro dip? I always like seeing the results from that process. But I keep all of my AR's black because I rotate guns in and out of my collection too frequently.

9mm HST and Ranger are pretty potent SD rounds. That's what I carry. It won't take down Chuck Norris like 45 will, but I think it's adequate based on what results I've seen. Plus, my weak little wrists handle 9mm a lot better and I shoot it more accurately (especially on follow up shots).

    All in jest.

Gorgeous gun, but the price is just too salty for me. There are some really nice 1911's that are even more attractive to me at that price point. Thanks for the link though, always like to learn about other purdy guns :D
I will avoid getting one... by not looking at them anymore! llh didn't think the upgrades would be as easy either, because of different pin sizes and lack of parts compatibility, so that is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I don't care what the fit and finish looks like, I'll take function any day. I'll stick with a 97 for my short wish list.

As far as 1911s, I had to stop looking at those too.

You will be very pleased with the 97 especially after you get it Cajunized!

Man, llh, I need to stay off of Gunbroker!

Any of you guys use the aluminum grips with the skateboard tape? They look cool, but I don't want to spend $90 on something for looks.
