The possibility of getting this project had me re-assessing retirement.
8 25+ year old crap junk furnaces all tied into a common supply and return. 25 tons of cooling attached to this mess.
    I can make it better.....:):

Now this is what I call a project.

Making up BP ammo and testing it today, all looks good so far. The gardener is still unhappy with the smell, remembering it from other times past. I'll try and get all the tests done in one lot.

Black powder takes me back to fond memories of my youth. Turn a .50 cal cannon on the lathe and load it with BP. Take an empty CO2 cartridge and fill it half full with BP. Take a 2.5"x6" pipe nipple and fill it half full of BP...made a nice bang but a bit of a disappointment as the cast end caps blew off instead of the pipe rupturing. BP and cannon fuse were meant for each other. :)

While the bang and thump of the old BP 45 Colt is impressive, the steel plates don't swing any further. With it's small slick grip, the 1878 is a hard gun to hold on to.

DANG, mouse .... that scramble of metal gives me the heeby-geebees. I hope that you don't have nightmares ! :D
Hopefully, at completion, it'll fill your pockets with green .... and you'll buy something that goes bang, and pleases you. :ar15:

How are you liking the Eotech...???

So far so good. I liked the large and easy to use adjustment screws that only need a quarter to adjust. Sighted in at 50 yards and was banging steel at 200.

Its been a while since I have worked with iron sights on an AR but ended my shooting today banging the 200 hard steel silhouettes standing with the backup sights. Sweet.

    Hush you......:nono:

    LOL.

Remember that powder actuated tool I found along the interstate? Returned it to it's rightful owner this evening. 2 crispy Benjamins for honesty is not bad pay.

That covers about 1/2 the plate rack I gotta go to Brazil and pick up.

I was in Brazil on Thursday and got passed by a Ferrari. In Brazil. Whodathunkit?
