Cats are eaten here in the GSF, yotes, hawks, owls. It's pretty tough on anything that size. If mice are the potato chips, cats are the Snicker bars.

We had a full sized Hawk of some kind hanging around here for a while Spring and early summer. He was huge. No cats or other vermin to be seen. Noy seen the Hawk in a good while and the vermin were quick to come back.

Understandable. I admittedly would have a hard time transitioning if I ever got the chance to move out of the city. I know diddly squat about country living.

It's not that hard .... I made the transition when I bought the cabin.
You just walk around wearing only your sock.
If you encounter something that pleases you, you have sex with it.
.... if it displeases you, you shoot it.
Easy peasy !
