When I deal with car maintenance...or anything to do with the car I am very likely to get screwed. The kind with no kisses.

I am with you on that. My first car I ever got, I leased and then it got driven over my mileage limit by a ton, so I stupidly bought it out for only like $2000 less than it was brand new because I was told that was fair. I ended up owing more than it was worth and paying $350 a month for a janky car. Thankfully, my new car has a reasonable payment and I didn't lease it.

Basically, I've learned some but still would probably get screwed over if I went to buy a car or pay for car repairs and didn't take someone with me.

Oh, and it's snowing here. :noway:

If you're ever in Lafayette, automotive solutions has a tire shop. Shameless plug, but he built his business and reputation around quality and not screwing folks over. I worked there for a bit and can attest to this.

Disclaimer, he is my godfather, but check out his reviews.

Leasing works for a only select few IMHO but car prices today are just insane and really unaffordable with leasing or way too long financing.

I bought a Jeep not too long ago and went from buying new to DEFINITELY buying used in a few mouse clicks.
