You are one of the few people I know that loves 10mm shorts as much as I. Not much available out there on the P07. I'd prefer it over the P10, bit either will do

Did the .40 P10C ever become a thing? I thought they canned that one before it ever saw the light of day. I was trying to chase one of those down but I think they backed out of that before it ever hit store shelves. It’s interesting to see the vendors still have the old ads out there.

I was thinking a little more traditional than that. Little more old school.:)

Iron sights mean a 20" AR-15 or lever-action to me. Old school would push me toward the lever although the AR has been around longer than you (almost as long as me:D).

I got a Winchester 1892 .357 mag. last summer and it's a hoot to shoot steel out to 200 yards with the stock irons.

I’m not sure what I would want! Bolt or lever works for me. Easy to find and affordableish caliber would be great. I’d be open to a Milsurp that didn’t break the bank. I hear great things about the 6.5 Swede, but I’ve never shot one.

Just something bigger for more fun or just in case. Hell maybe I get invited on a hunt someday. I’m not much for scopes, no patience for distance. I had a .308 once and I’ve had an 8mm.

    or

or if you want to step up a mm:

One has to be respectful, when uttering the "G" word ! :@ya:
(which are where the majority of my 40's exist)

    A TRILOGY OF 40'S !

I tried a 27 for some time, just couldn't get it to mesh with me. Wouldn't mind snagging a 23 to try. BTB in Seymour had one I could get on blue label, but managed to exercise restraint.

I just don't think there were a lot out there to begin with. Discontinued after a short run IIRC.

Here are some of my .40 CZs. Not the plastic ones though.

I do love me some .40. It’s the perfect blend. It has some of the feel of a .45 with a bit more capacity. Like .45, .40 is a purely American caliber. Designed by Americans and embraced by American law enforcement. What’s not to love about the .40.

It’s good to see some love for the .40. I think .40 would have been more popular had Colt dubbed it .40 ACP. But, Colt didn’t come up with it and I’m guessing that S&W was not open to naming it after Colt. I do think that if S&W been left out of the name, as it was for 10mm, it might have been more popular.

In that picture, the 75B Compact is wearing the spare 40P slide. It’s a true 75B Compact in .40 though. I had intended to have that spare slide cut for an RMR eventually but still have not gotten around to it.
