    Busy. The gardener wanted to put up a small cabinet she bought in the bathroom, asked about fasteners. After a few questions I said drywall fasteners should work, wrong answer. HGTV said to put at least put one screw into a stud, so she gets out the stud finder and finds a water pipe.

    Much screeching later when this is discovered.

    After shutting off the water and making a temporary repair I have spent the morning getting a proper repair done and contemplating what to do with the cookie points I have earned.;)

    Maybe just a little. Love my SP-01, goes to bed next to me every night with a mounted light, and 19 + 1 HP friends.

    Thanks for the link - very helpful. So it appears the P-01 is the all-steel compact version with the rail I'm looking for. Like your SP-01, the Shadow 2 works night time duty for me with 124gr +p Gold Dots and a Surefire light. Very comforting! But I want something a little more compact.

    Most of the P-01's are an aluminum alloy frame, not steel. There is a somewhat rare steel version, possibly labeled under a different model name (can't remember at the moment what it's called). 88 and the Wizard are the resident experts on various model numbers and such.

    Already made my first reloading equipment upgrade. Lyman Xpress case trimmer is going back to Midway for a full refund. Not necessarily broken, but I don't like the design/engineering. It uses the case shoulder for the reference point by shoving the case against a caliber specific bushing, seemed illogical after I started using it and actually learned what the hell I was doing with everything. Also found that when you dial your depth adjustment (supposed to be 0.001" per mark/line) it may or may not cut that much off exactly. So maybe it is broken (or just Chinesium junk?).

    Anyways, I bought a LE Wilson case trimmer with micrometer instead.

    I think this is the one you are referring to. Has been discontinued. Quick search did not find any used ones. That said if you have not, go shoot a P-01. My PCR has the same alloy frame IIRC and is a soft shooter. As is my EDC did not want the rail and like it being a few oz lighter.

    @mmpsteve know anyone with a 3D printer?

    or someone who could mill something like this sized for the compact.

    Thanks. I'm OK with alloy, just don't want the polymer-framed.

    What I really want is a Dan Wesson Specialist commander (only with 15+ rounds) :)

    The 99021 or 99041 are the steel P01s. The only difference is that the 99041 has P01 roll marks. Realistically, they should have been marketed as SP01 Compacts since that's what they are.

    Very familiar. My old P-01 is still around in the group.

    In case you didn't know, and I mean this in a very respectful tone, we've been doing this CZ thing for like 5 or 6 years or something. Between the core group, we've seen and owned just about every conception CZ has offered in handguns. And the Wizard has been up in the knickers of most of them. There's probably more CZ guns that have went through this group than the factory in Czech Republic has.

    I am always learning new to me stuff in this group everyday. One of the reasons I keep coming back!
