Buy is is more convenient than carrying my laptop.

I share your frustration with “smart” phones. Have you considered a tablet? Can get new and used ones very reasonably and I find mine a nice sweet spot between my laptop and phone. Very portable (not as much as a phone), it was a constant companion when I was hospitalized and goes on vacation with me. I rarely use my laptop any longer.

I share your frustration with “smart” phones. Have you considered a tablet? Can get new and used ones very reasonably and I find mine a nice, sweet spot between my laptop and phone. Very portable (not as much as a phone), it was a constant companion when I was hospitalized and goes on vacation with me. I rarely use my laptop any longer.

WE have had multiples in tablets. Not a fan. Hard to type on for me.
I love my laptop and sometimes hate it as well. But it is far more versatile (for me anyway) than my phone or a tablet.
I guess it's all in what you like.
