    and it's a convertible.......
I have owned a few convertibles and could never see what the big deal was about them. Cool, yeah, I guess. Pain in the ass.....Oh yeah.
1968 Impala S/S brand new 427 3 peddles and a drop. I had the top down a few times when the females wanted it but for me it was not something I cared for. I bought the car for the drive train.
1967 Corvette. Now these need to be open top. Its what they are.
I did a 1969 Camaro pace car that had been wrecked in the mid 80's. Turned out real nice but I sold it because it was a drop.

The old adage the price goes up when the top goes down is true but you can have them.

Local customer bought this one a couple years ago. It’s been in and out to correct various things. This time it got a light engine refresh and conversion from a 4 speed back to its as born automatic transmission.

It’s a 1 of 1 as born with the colors and combos, but someone in the past changed the interior color and top color from its original camel. Supposedly it was was originally ordered as a 4 speed but showed up as an automatic and the original owner converted it, that’s the story we were told at least…
Is the engine you posted in pics out of that one...?????

Have owned a convertible of one kind or another for nearly 25 yrs. Always enjoy top down driving as weather allows, the hotter the better. Always helped unwind after a long, high stress day. My 20 minute commute was just enough to get my stress down before walking in the house.

Mine is in the middle but I had a huge hand in building all of them in my shop.

    .
I rememeber the C6 in combination with the 385 blocks and I think you are right about it going on the FE as well. I think the 390 and 428 both had the C6.

Same story here. My first convertible was bought in 1996. Stress just evaporates with a bit of spirited driving top down.

I’ve always enjoyed drop tops. Have only owned one personally, 1970 Plymouth Fury III. Was just a cruiser and a perfect one at that. Only had it for a summer. Actually the car I was driving when I first met T-DOGG. Total pimp status.
A buddy of mine in high school had a 1969 Pontiac Catalina convertible. Seated 6 and was a major land yacht, but fun.
