    Morning peoples

The consolidating further continues and I'll be putting my Kidd 10/22 up for sale. I have found myself in a serious deep love affair with my CZ 457 and see no reason to spend time with anything else for "precision 22" shooting. The Kidd rifle won't be cheap, but it is put together correctly with quality parts.
I'm still planning on finishing my Kidd rifle, but it will not be this year.

You rarely get enough $ out of a used scope to make it worth selling. I just keep 'em until I buy another rifle.
That has not been my experience with scopes and I've sold my fair share of them. The Match Pro is very popular and are only available directly from Bushnell during limited runs.

    YMMV

I've heard only good things from those scopes, but no need for one at the moment.

You know me. I'm not into the latest and greatest, usually, being an OG.

Of course, I DID take y'alls $ with a 50 yo Sako centerfire and a 25 yo Leupold scope. Not to mention the 60 yo driver. :D :stickpoke:

    .
Was bidding on a 1911 from 1914 last night that really cried out for rehab. Punch stippling all over the grip, wonky target sights and controls installed, the only thing missing was ceracoat. Just too much money and I wasn't sure how to get rid of the stippling.

Hated to let that one go, but I was afraid there would be no metal left in the grip when I was done.

Fair enough. Even if I did get 2nd place with a semi auto, using the 4th best ammo the gun likes and doubled my entry money.

I'll see you at the rematch in 22 years when I'm 60. :p

JB weld, some cut checkering, and a ceracoat job. Not period accurate, but probably serviceable.

I had to grind a tab off the right side but other than that it dropped in and works. I think it could use some perfecting though. It doesnt engage the slide like i think it should but i could be wrong and it could be fine. Like i said this is my first go around with a 1911. Once i get my grips done ill file fit the grips and saftey profiles to look better.

This is what im talkin about. View attachment 156813
Why did you grind the right side tab off, that has a purpose. Either the safety isn't fully fit to the sear and won't engage all the way or you need to take a bit off the area with the plunger hole so it'll get up into the slide, then you may need to redrill the plunger hole a bit.

This is the tab i took material off of. I havent touched any of the business bits.
BABEE210-8078-4081-8ED8-7E3CC103BFAE.jpegI havent touched any of the actual business bits. I assume i was supposed to clearance the grips for the tab to retain this side of the saftey but i plan on hiding most of the saftey under my mew grips.

They make grips that that have a slot cut for ambidextrious safeties. No need to trim the tab.
