Yep, the "pantless highway" rides again! I couldn't stand to see what looked like a beautiful gun find a home outside the Czickness community. I'd have jumped on Shiny myself if I didn't already have one in matte stainless, so mcapo is the lucky soon-to-be owner of this beauty. And what a beauty it is, a BBQ gun you wouldn't be afraid to shoot. The pic below doesn't do it justice, it's so spotless I've been compelled to wipe it down with a microfiber cloth the few times I've handled it. Honestly, I'd have to break it down (which I'm not going to do) to tell for certain if it's even been fired.

I was hoping pairing it up with my matte stainless in the safe overnight would have produced some really cute RAMI babies, but decided against it... you've all heard what happens when cousins get together.

Is that where G#$@ks come from? (full disclosure - I have a G23 from WT that I really like and a G34 on the way...)

Thanks again, Hopper! I hope it makes a range with you before it heads north. Oh...only microfiber please...lol

It does have a "bling" factor, doesn't it? I may be wrong, but I suspect it's one of the easiest finishes to keep looking nice, even though it shows every smudge. There is no finish to worry about wearing off or scuffing up. If it starts looking a little dull, you can put it to the polishing wheel for a quick refresh to make it look brand-new again.

I actually think both would look nice with the grips swapped... the black grenade-style grips on the matte stainless, and the wood grips on "shiny".

    I'm just messing with ya!

Now my LGS just told me he has a LNIB SW 686 PC Competition Model (the ugly one with the weighted barrel). Gun fund is a severe negative. Willpower....I have willpower. OK; maybe I'll just stop in and look....

Looks like a rainy weekend ahead, but I'm determined to go down to the cabin for a couple of nights. The trees will be fully leafed-out, and I need a campfire, by golly !
Boy, this sounds like time well spent, even if it is a wet weekend. The sound of rain pitter-pattering on the roof, maybe with a fire crackling in the fireplace, is a perfect prescription for a serene state of being.

That's exactly the effect on me. I took a selfie a couple of years ago (below). I'm thinking that I could put together a true 'barbecue gun' event at my hideaway for the CZ'icko's. If there was enough interest, I'd try to plan it !
