So I lugged a stainless loaded around all day. Doesn't bother me while walking, but sitting it certain vehicles was an issue. I am not used to hip carry. There is a reason I appendix, it works for me.

Hey, glad to see that everyone survived the weekend so far. What a great day today. I brought shiny home and then went shooting with my youngest son. Shiny shot well and we shot the Heritage back to back with the CZ 1911A1. The CZ is definitely the better shooter right now, but the Heritage will give it a run for it's money once I've had a chance to polish the trigger and channels. I think that about an hours worth of elbow grease and some 2000 grit sandpaper will be all it needs.

    Full size takes some adjustments.

I've been carrying a full size for 3 days now with no issues. I've gone back to using a shoulder holster and it really worked well for the road trip today.

It was good to see you today Tim. Thank you for letting us fondle that DW, such a sweet pistol. Glad you had a good range trip.

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with the Heritage. One of these nights, I'll pull it back apart and do a proper polish job. It has a true-radius sear, so not much I can do there except maybe draw it across a strop a time or two. Other than that, it just needs a touch up here and there where parts interface, then a 19# main spring and it will be done.

After tomorrow it will be 4.

That's pretty cool. Anyone that's into 1911s would be tickled to have one of AllenM's builds, but to have 4 in a collection is amazing. He really needs to find a brand name for his work so it can be seen as a whole body of work as opposed to individual pieces being done.
