I wish I could get into the guts of guns like some of you do. I guess I can get into them but getting the thing to work again is another story. I don't do well with small parts.

It's not that hard. My motto has always been, if some dumb SOB put it together, this dumb SOB can do the same. ;)

Some CZs are easier to work on than others. The basic P07/P09 system is a breeze to disassemble completely and with 5 minutes of YouTube surfing, just about anyone can work on that one. The non-Omega 75s are more difficult and involve more parts and a couple of punches but it's still not too bad if you don't disassembe the sear cage. Pre-Bs can be tricky with the early style safety detent that's similar to the P07/P09 type, but much more difficult to assemble. You need a pin to put through the small hole in the safety to keep those together for assembly and disassembly. The decockers are a PITA since the sear cage pin runs through the frame too. You need a slave pin to disassemble those and even then, they can be a real PITA at times. On the upside, since the decocker pin runs through the frame, it locks the sear cage in place better which means that the theoretical trigger pull might just be a bit better if there's no sear cage movement taking part in the trigger pull.

You hit the nail on the head and I would ad that the Phantom is the most difficult of all! Along with being a de cocker you have to assemble the sear cage and hammer group into the sub frame then this unit is set into the polymer lower and then the sear pin is installed through the poly lower, the sub frame and through the sear cage. This as a big PITA but I love my Phantom and it is my HD gun on the night stand!
