This is a great time if you like old CZs. They are popping up all over the place. With how the Beast, the 85 and the alloy Compact have turned out I might never buy another new gun. ;)

I seriously doubt I will be ponying up for anything new again.
Paying that price and then putting hundreds into it just stopped making any sense as if it ever did.
Well at the time it did. Not anymore.

Yeah, now I buy old pieces of crap and give them new life. It is much more satisfying to me and I end up with a better gun.

This seems to be the right path.
Going to take a butt kicking anyway at re-sale as folks want to pay bottom money and always retort the gun has been modified and therefore looses value...:n00b:

Man, I'm bummed. I really hope this Orlando shooting doesn't throw a monkey wrench in things like the Sandy Hook shooting did. I bought my first gun in April of 2013. I didn't start hitting the range until that November. I remember the cost of my gun was higher than it would normally have been and also that ammo was scarce and expensive for months after I started shooting. I think it was April or later before 9mm became more widely available and came back down in price. That was over a year after Sandy Hook. :(
