Thanks guys. Regular doctor visit is tomorrow, a blood pressure cuff is on hand and I've been able to drive the numbers down a bit. I do need to work on the decluttering though. I've been working through a pile of old computers, pulling hard drives and scrapping the rest of them. Hard drives have really good magnets in them that can be used to hide guns in odd places.

I have seen this trick used by others.

Get the pressure in line my friend. I truly wish I had paid more attention to the signs I was experiencing towards high glucose. I am now paying the price for my lack of immediate action.

Just a note on the Spring shoot.
MCF&G is still in the depths of construction. If this is completed soon I will feel OK about tying up a bay for an entire afternoon.
If it is not I will be moving the date out to accommodate the work being done to improve my favorite range.

Hopefully they'll be able to get construction done soon. If not, we'll continue to wait... :nailbite:

I'm thinking this P09, fully Cajunized, with the compensator, light/laser and 24 round magazine should be a pretty badass machine. ;)

Construction is coming along nicely. They have the main range cover mostly completed now and I'm hoping they'll make the March 21st target date. But, they may still have a lot of electrical work to do which might take longer than I think it would.

I'm thinking you are right. That's sounding like it could be a pretty solid HD gun.

Speaking of lasers, I realized this morning that if I lose any more vision in my right eye, I may need to go to a laser for HD on the rifles. Either that or start shooting lefty with the long arms. That would really be odd.

Hey, to all of the young-uns here. CM is right, above when he talks of the price of procrastination. That's what I'm doing right now. I've known by BP was high for about a year now and only made half attempts to do anything about it. If I'm lucky, I'll regain the vision in that eye and will only have had to go through a year of injections into the eye to get there. If not, my shooting days will forever be impacted by my laziness in getting to the doctor when I should have.

Take your health seriously! Stuff generally does not creep up on you. It comes with little signs here and there that need to be heeded.

I'm taking my health pretty serious. Dentist every 6 months, physical every 2 years, now set up with the eye doc every 2 years. I'm more prone now to say something if I notice something isn't right. Bad family history on mommas side with the "widow maker"... It may not seem like it sometimes, but I do listen to you guys when you mention this stuff.

    Morning folks! :coffee:

Man, I hope this week is better than last week. I started last week out with an eye doctor appointment to see why I'm losing vision in my right eye. Found out it was a broken blood vessel most likely caused by high blood pressure. Went to a different eye specialist on Wednesday and spent the afternoon having dye injected into my system and lots of photos taken and the diagnosis was that I had a mild stroke. Not what I was hoping to hear. To fix the eye, I have to have injections in the eye once a month for about a year, maybe longer depending on how it does. Even then, they don't really promise anything, just that this is the best shot at fixing it. Then, to end the week, my back started acting up again, but since I'm on a low dose aspirin regiment, I didn't take anything for it and spent Saturday night in mostly awake. So, I'm really ready for a better week this week.

On the upside, this has really gotten me to think that I need to unclutter my life. Projects need to be finished and the junk from previous projects needs to be discarded. Less stress is the name of the game right now for me. And, a cluttered garage stresses me.

Oh, speaking of projects, I got the sights and ambi-thumb safety for my nephew's project gun. I need to get the gun over to AllenM for sight cuts this week if possible. Then, a bit of finish work and it's off to the platers. When it comes back, I'll work on the internals, but have been leaving that part go untouched for now.

Welcome to the needle in the eye club. Don't worry you get used to it and it's not as bad as it sounds.

Finally ordered some Pierce finger grips for my CCO. Looking forward to getting them on my gun. Hey Tim, do you recall if you had to trim those when you put them on your CCO, or did they just fit?

You will need to use an exacto or equivalent to trim them up so they look nice and clear all the controls.

Put the grips on and just trace around the pad. easy peasy.
