Just a couple. There are some that claim Arken is better than scopes twice their price. I have no clue but in a budget scope (under $500) they seem to me to be a good value.

I like this reviewer (@T-DOGG led me to him) and this is an older review of a scope like mine but without the Japanese glass.

If you get an Arken make sure you watch a couple of videos on setting up the turrets.

I'm pretty much sold on these.
I've looked around for personal reviews on different forums and Guntube, online reviews from different stores, and the overall rating is 4.5☆ out of 5 or better.
There are a few bad reviews but some of those are people that have no clue how a scope works IMO. Some are definitely legitimate complaints, possibly lemons, but it looks like Arken made it right with those who reached out to them.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the EPL4 with the VPR MOA reticle.
Does anyone have any opinion on which MOA reticle is better VPR or VHR?

Came across this fella hanging out in a tree on a trail earlier today.

I had an old female black rat snake that lived around here for years.
She was around 8 feet long which is huge for even females. She was around for close to 10 years.
I think she died because I no longer see here in her usual spots. The longer the females are the older they are.
She got rid of all kinds of rodents, and birds making nests in my carport. I miss her taking care of that problem this year.

@mcapo I'm curious, have you tried any of these mags in your 226?

I don’t have that exact X5 mag but I have a number of Mec-Gar MGP22618AFC mags that are excellent.

    In the country, hopefully.
    The 226 rocks.

Was hot out there, but spent a few minutes zeroing the 226's optic. Yep, liking this.

That said metal frame guns get hot in the sun. Who knew?

Now I need to get on Greg Cote or possibly Lanbo's and order some mags and I need to figure out an optic for the 229.

I forgot to try the 226 mags in the 229 to confirm function as someone was trying to get in the bay as I was packing up.
226 mags work in mine, I have quite a few different types.
Just shot it today with 226 mags as I just have a few 229 mags and they got left behind or are loaded with SD ammo.

    Can't direct mount it?
My understanding is that even though the newer Sig slides have RMR holes drilled that a filler plate is needed to fill the gaps from the DPP footprint to the RMR footprint.
