    I remember mcapo’s first GTG. We kept shoving CZ after CZ in his hands. I think he was a bit overwhelmed. He ended up later with one of the first ones I stuck in his hands. In fact it was one I got from CM when I met him for the first time. Hoosier45 was there also as I recall. Snowing like crazy.

    That's what happened to me, the Wizard showed me a case full of CZ's to shoot, I actually picked a very worn looking 75 or 85 but the trigger was phenomenal.

    So I know this is the wrong group to ask but what do all y'all think?

    I had that exact gun. I think the SW1911s are really underrated - especially the E-series.

    The scandium frame is light so you will deal with a tad more recoil but nothing insane. There are MIM parts but SW does a really good job with MIM as is evidenced in their modern revolver line. SW has been using MIM parts for almost 30 years and they know how to do it right. The external extractor is also reliable.
