Me again, I wanted to follow up on the 1911 class/get together
I have two possible dates in December. Both on a Saturday, the 9th or 16th.

Can I get a show of hands on who is still interested and what date would work best?
I don't know if 20 people would want to attend but I would need to cap it at 15 - 20 attendees.
I will probably post this in the main forum if more people are needed.

I did a clean and some light maintenance to the Canon A-1 I picked up last weekend in Raleigh. I installed new light seals and mirror bumper and scrubbed the outside a bit.

Tisas bobtail slide machining all done. French border, flat top with custom serrations, dehorned ejection port, and also a short trigger. Pretty happy with it. Now onto the next project....

Driving it back makes the most sense. Even with a $500 plane ticket, I'm guessing. Probably 8 mpg bobtailing back. Maybe a smidge better if you take it real easy and have a tail wind.

Funny coincidence. In a PM to Allen I referred to myself as a gunsmith wannabe. Excitable is an understatement. I have to remind myself to breathe when im using the mill. And thank you for the compliment.
