Had an interesting day. 2nd day this year I had to actually go into the office. This time for our day of service. Stuffed bags with snacks and info for an upcoming job fair. Whatever. Sat stuffing bags for 3 hours while chatting with coworkers. Could have been worse. Didn't let the drive in or back bother me (too badly) and then sat out on the back deck watching my cat chase grasshoppers. Not a bad day.

    Viagra sprayed on the deck?

9/11. Flags on the overpasses this morning. Tears in my eyes twice already.

88, your family history of service is inspiring.
I appreciate that Patience, but we are not a standout family by any stretch. Only a few in the family have put on a uniform in service of this country

Grips arrived for the Tisas Carry. Not that anyone asked, but I've had really good luck with Cool Hand G10 grips from Amazon. They are very affordable, ship fast and come with screws. And the quality is good.

I got a set from Cool hand's website for my SA-35, and was able to use a discount code and still get free shipping (they still use Amazon), but it seems there store has been unavailable for a while now on their own site.

I still need to try some medical tape per mcapo to get the grips on the Hi Power to not pivot.

My wife said it was an eventful time at the elementary school cross walk today. The house right next to the cross walk was busted by the LPD drug task force. She said 6-7 adults were arrested. Not surprised through, that house has had all the stereo typical goings on of a drug house for awhile. The heart breaking part is kids were living there too.

I started up the concealed carry and training conversation with her again. Little by little I keep working on her. She’s not against it, just not enthusiastic.

I just picked up some Guuun 1911 grips that I really liked for a future purchase. They seem pretty nice so far. Can't wait to get the gun and get them on it to try them out:

I looked at those as well, because they had ones pre-cut for a bobtail, but I didn't like the color options. They look to be of similar quality and design as Cool Hand.

    Evening all.

We ran up to Wisconsin on Thursday for my sister's wedding on Saturday. Got back yesterday. Had some great time Thursday through Sunday with family.

Today CameraMonkey and I ran out to Proteq for a few hours. I got my AR sighted back in after moving the optic on it, and adding a 45 degree offset red dot to it.

Shot the Jericho, the CZ 75BD, and the H&K VP9. The optic on the VP9 is sighted in now. I had other guns with me, but they didn't get shot. Maybe next time.

It was an awesome day. PERFECT weather.

And we both proved you dont want to be downrange of us with our ARs. It wasnt pretty, but all 5 shots standing free were on target on a full size B27 torso target. neither of us had tried man sized targets at that range before.

(And you are relatively safe at that distance if all we have is our carry pistol :lmfao: )
